Planned Road Projects

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

If you ever wondered what work was going to take place near you or on your route to work, then you can by visiting http://www.highways.gov.uk

This shows all planned road projects which could include the widening of roads,  the construction of roundabouts and what ever the work, it will always need new road markings. Double yellows, central white lining, give way lining, hatching, zebra crossings and so on.

The reason for a lot of these projects for roads could include a few of the following:

  • Reduce congestion and provide additional capacity
  • Restrict access onto the trunk road
  • Improve road safety
  • Provide a bypass for villages
  • Improve journey time reliability
  • Minimise the impact of the improved road on the surrounding areas.
  • Develop a scheme that is well engineered and economically viable

We can help with all road marking projects, just contact us.
